The Walking Dead Finale

Well finally midterms are over tomorrow, and I just realized I haven't updated almost since they started, so what better thing to post about than the season 2 finale of one of the most watched TV shows.

Or maybe the comic it's all based on? yeah that seems about right, so if you don't watch the series already that really is no excuse for no reading the comics, I mean I am no comic reader myself, maybe read only the most popular ones and I never got into a comic series, but I'm in vol 7 of the walking dead right now, and I gotta tell you it's fucking awesome, and with a very different feel of the show too.

So if you have read the comics I know you were as exited as me when the prison was shown at the end, even if you haven't because most people agree that this is where the comics kick off and get real good.

Well let's just hope the series does too, they have treated a lot of things differently and skipped a lot of scenes that maybe would be too gruesome for TV, but for the most part and at the end of the day, it's just a zombie show to keep you entertained, maybe it has some flawed logic or bad dialog, too me it's like watching a horror movie, or a horror show rather.

  1. I love Walking Dead, but am in the UK and there's a delay of broadcast.

also can't wait to see what the game's like.

  4. Guys I'm sure they have their reasons as to why the show isn't as close to the comic as it should be. Since I used to be a film student in high school I always think of it in a film director's point of view towards The Walking Dead.

Think of it this way, a director has his or her own personal way of doing things, as do most people. Some want their works to be gritty, action packed, solemn or whatever. While others want theirs to be full of meaning, suspense and surprises etc. It is always down to the director.

Think of it this way as well, what if Michael Bay directed the Walking Dead series? Or what if Chris Nolan was the director? See the difference it would make? You'd have either an action-packed, explosion filled show or a dark and mysterious show that would seem odd and deviate away from the original feel of the comic.

Just my two cents guys, people just don't think about this most of the time and would rather complain rather than appreciate. Hey, at least the Walking Dead was made into a TV show, that's something, right?

  10. I enjoy the walking dead, but they spent way too much time on that farm (in the comics it was maybe three issues). I'm really excited to see what they do with the Governor and Machonne next season. Just wish that I didn't have the last three episodes of last season spoiled for me
